Q: I have one cat named Murphy. I love her to bits, but we have one problem with her - She is an indoor/outdoor cat and when she's out and is ready to come back in the house, she jumps up on and clings to our window screens. This is the third year in a row we are having to replace ripped, shredded window screens. How can I get her to stop destroying the screens? HELP!! Thanks. Janice .

A: Give her a cat door! You can install a cat door in most screens too. If she does it to more than one screen, you will have to put her in and out of the cat door a few times and make the other screens very unattractive - taping balloons to them would work, or covering them with a cat-safe pet repellent spray, just until she starts using the cat door.  Also, we recommend keeping your cat indoors at night, so make sure it is one that has a lock or panel that can close securely.
