Welcome to The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA's Membership Dog Boarding program. (We do not board cats or other animals - please see our Boarding links page for those and other dog boarding facilities). Our boarding kennels are completely separate from our shelter facility, are kept locked and are not accessible to the general public. You are welcome to come in for a tour any time during our kennel/office hours. Our boarding policies and recommendations are listed below to help make your pet's stay with us a happy event. Prior to boarding, we'll need a completed Boarding Form.
Boarding Fees
(in addition to your annual Membership
fee)
- 0-39 lbs $14 per day, per dog
- 40+ lbs $16 per day, per dog
- Special Care $1 per day, per item, per dog
- All dogs must be in good general health to board
- Dogs must be at least 6 months old
- Any existing health problems (medical, physical, behavioral) requires advance review of the dog before reservations can be accepted
- All boarding dogs are observed regularly throughout the day by the PHS Health Staff. If urgent care is required, the dog will be transported to a veterinarian.
- Dogs are sprayed with fly/flea repellent as needed
- Kennels are radiant heated during cold periods and mist-cooled in excessive heat
- Dogs are routinely fed once a day with a moistened premium kibble
Current written vaccination records for Rabies, Distemper-Parvo and Corona Virus (7-in-1 Combination) along with the Intra-Nasal Bordatella (kennel cough vaccination within a six month period) are required. Records can be faxed to 626-792-3810 or mailed, but must be received in advance of the reservation date. Having your dog's vaccinations current within 6 months prior to boarding greatly reduces the risk of contracting any communicable disease during its stay.Length of Stay
- One month is the maximum time a dog may board
- It is recommended that you make reservations at least one month or more in advance, especially during holiday periods.
- Please notify us in advance of any change or cancellation of your reservation
- If you pick up your dog before 12 noon, you will not be charged for the day of the pick up
- We will not release your dog to anyone but YOU without prior written notification
