Lost & Found Pets

If you have lost your pet or found a stray, first read what to do if you've lost or found a pet. Then come back to this page and use the links below. Don't give up -  pets have been reuinited with their owners months after they were lost! 
  • Holland's Shelter Maps on Google - quickly and easily see which shelters may have your lost pet. Sorted by counties in southern California. For a direct link to Animal Shelters in Los Angeles, Orange & Ventura Counties click here.

  • Lostpetdetection.com - a real Bloodhound will use scent to find your lost pet. Lost dogs must be within 3 days of being lost, cats within 30, for both the sooner the better. Call as soon as you've lost your pet. Located in Burbank, will travel anywhere in LA County.

  • Lost Pet Poster - print, fill in, copy, and follow Petfinders and/or /Sherlock Bones guidelines for posting which are in the links below.

  • Petclub's Pet finders - non-profit service that will help you find your lost pet, with step by step instructions what to do first.

  • MetroPetTracker - Los Angeles area site dedicated to reuiniting lost pets with their owners. Post photos, view shelter listings by city (so you know where to look). Note: when searching lost/found listings, use "View All..." instead of the search to get the most recent postings listed first.
