Rescued on 8/19/07 and then adopted into a forever home, thanks to United Hope Rescue. Rufus LOVES other dogs and people…does fantastic at the dog park. His foster mom took him camping and he was AWESOME. Stayed at the camp site when off leash, would just chill near her and wasn’t nervous. He does have plenty of energy so he needs an active family that will ensure he gets his exercise! He had to be evacuated from the fires since his foster home was right in the middle of it all….that was fun at 4 am!!! He is currently in a foster home with other dogs in San Diego, but would love to find his forever home soon.

He lived with cats & dogs, but might do best in a home without cats or small fluffy dogs as he thinks its too much fun to chase them. ADOPTED 1/15 - is Mr. Lucky, a big handsome shorthair tuxedo cat. His prior owner had him for about a year, and said he was very happy being an indoor/outdoor cat, very affectionate with people, but he was too much of an "alpha" cat for their other cats. ADOPTED 1/5 - SY is an 11 month neutered male Pitbull mix with deep golden eyes and a sleek, short, easy-care coat. He walks like a gentleman on the leash, enjoys petting, snuggling, and going to the park to play. He loves being with people and is a volunteer favorite. He may seem timid in the kennels but is submissive and sweet with people and other dogs too. Watch his volunteer-filmed YouTube video click here. He's been waiting to be adopted since 10/19/07 - please come in to meet him today.
