| Happy Adoption Stories - Princess
August 17, 2005
Princess Peanut may be a pint-sized pooch, but this 10-year-old
Chihuahua has plenty of personality to spare and a paws-itive perspective,
making her the perfect spokesdog for the Pasadena Humane Society
& SPCA and the important work we do to create a better world
for all animals-work that could not be accomplished without the
support of our community.
Lost and alone, Princess came to the shelter with a badly injured
leg. But after several months of care from our dedicated medical
team, she was adopted on January 20, 2005 by our Development Department
and now spends her days greeting visitors and serving as a wagging
example of the vital difference donations make in the lives of the
animals we rescue.
The Pasadena Humane Society relies on contributions not only to
provide food, shelter and medical care to the thousands of animals
we take in every year, but also to fund adoption, behavior and education
programs-programs whose goal is to find safe, loving and permanent
homes for all our adoptable animals.
Support from donors helped give Princess a new leash on life; with
continued help from the communities we serve, we will be able to
give many more "Princesses" a second chance.
