Happy Adoption Stories - Lily

Dear Jennifer:

Just wanted you and Mary to know that the little old Yorkie I adopted from you last month (the one with the tumor) is just thriving! She's gained lots of weight and is now a round little ball. I've got two other Yorkies (male and female) and a little Maltese I adopted in November. They are all wonderful and Lily loves to play with Zeus, my little male Yorkie (I think she's smitten with a younger man).

She has a little stuffed toy shaped like a heart that she loves to carry around, toss up in the air, run from it as fast as she can and then circle back and grab it, shaking it like it's a mouse. That's her favorite game. Like my other 12-yr old Yorkie she's quite the personality and has tons of energy now. She's a really happy little girl and we just love her to death.

I want to thank both you and Mary for making this adoption possible. You really worked with me and endured all my nagging phone calls about her. I also thank you for caring enough about her to give her the surgery you did - it was no small feat, she had lots of medical issues.

She's just a precious little girl and I'm grateful every day she's with me.

Thanks again.
Arianna

ps. The first photo was taken the other day - Lily is standing up, Pooh (my little Maltese I rescued in November is in the middle. FYI Pooh was totally paralyzed from the waist down and pathetically underweight when I adopted her. Within a month she was standing and now she's walking AND running - a little clumsily but like a rocket)! And then, Lily's paramour, Zeus, is lying down next to Pooh (Ciara, my other older Yorkie, was napping at the time)!

Lily's so cute because everytime I call her name she cocks her head to the side. Anyway, thanks again - she's the love of our lives!!
