Hi Everyone,

Chewie was adopted from PHS on 12/04/06. Chewie is approximately two years old, Silky Terrier. After searching for six months, I finally saw this cute, little, bear like face, and I knew that Chewie was a dog for me. His name came from the Star Wars character Chubacca; do you see the resemblance?

When we brought Chewie to the Vet., we were told that Chewie has had bad ears infections for quite a while, and may required a life time of care. Poor Chewie for two months had to wear a cone to prevent him from scratching. I am happy to say Chewie's ears are much better now after all the medications, shots, cleaning, and ear drops; the cone is now gone.

Chewie is a very smart dog, friendly, inquisitive, playful and loving. He is keeping me on my toes, and constantly coming up with new and creative mannerisms. He really enjoys his daily walk, the dog park once a week, and a ride in the car with his head out the window as we head to the dog friendly restaurants in the area. He just did his first Charity walk for the Komen Walk for a Cure, and he will also be doing the Wiggle Waggle Walk annually to help support PHS & SPCA, so that others like him will have a Happy Adoption Story too.

Chewie is my first dog, and has brought a joy into my life. He is my baby.
