Hi. We adopted Bear in late February of 2005. She is a lab, shepard, chow chow mix. She is about 3 years old. She was just so happy to have a loving home. She follows me everywhere and loves to cuddle. She even does great in my apartment. I can't say enough of the importance of adopting. People sometimes only want "puppies", but let me tell you this...Bear was already potty trained, knew how to sit etc. It saves us the time cause someone already trained her for us! Older dogs need us more than ever. There will always be someone willing to adopt a puppy. Please consider the loving nature of a dog that just wants to love you. Do not go out and "purchase" a dog, remember that for every dog that is bought, another innocent dog is put to sleep. I could not be happier with my Bear. Thank you to the PHS for finding her for us, we are forever grateful for the work that you all do.
