Giving up your pet / finding a pet a home

Our shelter's open-door policy means that we accept all animals from the cities we service.  State law states owner-surrendered pets may be made available for adoption immediately and may be euthanised after 5 days. We do make every attempt to place adoptable animals into new homes, but cannot guarantee adoption or call you if you pet is going to be put to sleep. You can call our Main Office at 626-792-7151 x0 if you have questions. Please consider these alternatives first:

If you find yourself with no alternative but giving up your pet, consider having a microchip implanted and registered in your name as either a primary or alternate contact in case anyone adopting your pet turns out to be unable to keep the pet confined.
