In order to adopt an animal from PHS, you need to:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid photo ID
- Be able to verify with your landlord that you may have a pet if you are renting
- Understand that we reserve the right to deny the adoption of any pet for any reason
- Meet any additional requirements for the specific pet you are interested in adopting
(1) complete an application, (2) sign in with the adoptions receptionist and (3) be interviewed by an adoption counselor. Through this counseling, the adoption counselor can help you choose a pet that will be compatible with your family and lifestyle.
All members of your household and any dogs you have at home must be brought in to socialize with the dog you wish to adopt in our play yard, to make the best match for everyone.
