PASADENA - Low cost shot clinic will be held on Thursday, July 14th from 7pm - 8:30 pm at the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA. The clinic is being offered by the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association (SCVMA). Please do not arrive before 6:00 p.m. Several SCVMA veterinarians will be available in the front parking lot of the humane society to issue rabies shots to both cats and dogs. Other pet vaccines available for the protection of dogs against disease at the clinic are the six-in-one vaccine (DHLPP) and the Bordatella vaccines. A four-in-one vaccine for cat protection is also available. It is mandatory that all dogs attending the clinic are on leash and cats are in secure carriers. Aggressive dogs should be muzzled. COSTS 6-in-1 (DHLPP) $14 Bordetella $11 4-in-1 (FvRCPP) $14 Microchipping $20 All dogs four months of age and older are required to be vaccinated against rabies by state, county and city ordinances. Protection of pets against other diseases is not required by law, but is recommended for the well being of the animals. The rabies vaccine provides three years of protection for dogs 12 months and older and one year protection for dogs four to 11 months. The other vaccines may be given to pets eight weeks and older and provide protection for one year. Dog licenses for Arcadia and La Canada will also be available for purchase at the clinic as well. Cash and checks will be the accepted payment for both the clinic and dog licenses.
