Manager of Information Systems / Webmaster (Full Time, Non-Exempt)

The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Webmaster/ Manager of Information Systems. This position is responsible for PHS’s online presence and has a direct influence on programs like adoptions, fundraising and spay/neuter. PHS is an open door facility serving the greater Pasadena area since 1903. We are private non-profit animal welfare agency which provides Animal Control services for seven local cities (population approximately 500,000).

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Administration and Vice President of Community Outreach

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Manager of Information Systems

• Installation and configuration of computers and servers
• Monitor backup systems
• Support 50 PCs and their peripheral devices
• Full knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
• Hardware review, software revisions, patches and ServicePacks
• Maintain inventory of all technology and equipment
• Creating and updating of Crystal reports from our Chameleon SQL database

Webmaster

• Updating the website in a manner that reflects the message and image of PHS
• Maintaining the content of the website
• Development and Maintenance of new web projects
• Work with departments to reflect new programs accurately on the website
• Updating and maintaining blogs that are generated by PHS or about PHS
• Assist with transition to new website being constructed and designed
• Manage online sales
• Make sure that the photographs for all animals are formatted for website
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or president

SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE: Chameleon, Microsoft Office, Crystal Reports, Windows 98, Server 2000, Norton Antivirus, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, FTP, and work with Convio on new website.

SKILLS & ABILITY: Update webpage using Dreamweaver. Maintain web based interfaces. Photographing pets and reformatting photos to use on website. Manage a team of volunteers who assist with photography and online sales. Troubleshoot hardware problem. Back up verification and maintenance.
