Success Stories: Ending pet overpopulation

Many of us that work in the animal welfare field are often overwhelmed by the problems posed by pet overpopulation. But there are solutions, ones that have been tried and proven to work.  From Honolulu, Hawaii to Calgary, Canada, communities are using programs that reduce stray impounds, increase owner redemptions and decrease adoptable pet euthanasia.  The statistics and details of some of the most successful ones are here.
