PHS Pet Owner's Guide

We're pleased to announce the grand opening of this new section of our website, the Pasadena Humane Society's Pet Owner's Guide! Whether you've just adopted your new furry friend or already have a house full of four-footed companions, this guide will help you enjoy the countless resources available for pet lovers in Pasadena and surrounding areas.

Before you entrust your pets to anyone's care, we recommend checking up on them as thoroughly as possible. National associations such as Pet Sitters International, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers accredit their members; you can ask for references as well. And please make sure your pet is currently vaccinated (check with your vet) before boarding or other outings.

Based on our personal experience and suggestions from other helpful pet owners, we've compiled a directory of resources including listings of local training classes, groomers, vets, cat & dog boarding facilities, pet supply stores, day care, sitters, walkers, and our favorite hikes, dog-friendly beaches and dog parks. The focus is mainly on dogs and cats, but includes entries for rabbits, birds, fish and other pets as well.
